3. Sarah Agnes2 Lange.

     Sarah Agnes Lange was born on March 25, 1890 in Globe, Arizona, daughter of Otto Augustus Lange and Mary Elizabeth Larremore. She was the eldest of the Lange children and helped her mother raise her nine brothers and sisters. She attended school in Humboldt, Dewey, and Groom Creek, and then Business College in Prescott. She lived in Yeager Canyon, on Sanders Ranch (where Prescott Country Club is today), and on GJ Ranch near Paulden.
     Sarah married Clarence Edwin Eckert. She and Clarence, a minor by trade, lived on the P.Bar Ranch, south of Groom Creek. Sarah's children were Lenora Ellen Bronson (April 29, 1913), Otto Edwin (May 3, 1915), Kenneth Lange (May 22, 1922), Stephen Charles and Betty Jo.
     In addition to being a mother and housewife, Sarah also helped her father with business books and taxes. She was a Christian Scientist, a member of the Rebecca Lodge and active at state and national levels of the Women of the Moose Lodge. She served during World War II as a Greylady at Fort Whipple.
     Sarah Agnes Lange died in March, 1953. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.

6. Otto Augustus3 Lange. Much of this information was extracted from the Sharlot Hall Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
     Otto Augustus Lange was born in 1863.
     In Carlsbad, New Mexico, on their way to Arizona in a covered wagon, Otto Augustus Lange met Mary Elizabeth Larremore. Otto kept track of the Larremore family and they both settled near Globe. On Christmas Day, 1888, 15-year-old Mary rode behind him on his horse the 12 miles into Globe where they were married. Otto married Mary Elizabeth Larremore, daughter of Lebious P. Thadeous Larremore and Sarah Jane Milne. Otto and Mary were married on Tuesday December 25, 1888 in Globe, Gila County, Arizona.
     Otto Augustus Lange died in 1937.

     Mary Elizabeth Larremore was born on January 11, 1873 in Texas, daughter of Lebious P. Thadeous Larremore and Sarah Jane Milne.
     When the Larremore children misbehaved, she remembered, they were told they would receive a spanking from their dad at "2:00 next Wednesday."
     In Carlsbad, New Mexico, on their way to Arizona in a covered wagon, Otto Augustus Lange met Mary Elizabeth Larremore. Otto kept track of the Larremore family and they both settled near Globe. On Christmas Day, 1888, 15-year-old Mary rode behind him on his horse the 12 miles into Globe where they were married. At age 15, Mary married Otto Augustus Lange. Otto and Mary were married on Tuesday December 25, 1888 in Globe, Gila County, Arizona.
     The first two of their ten children, Sarah Agnes Eckert (March 25, 1890) and Otto A. Jr. (November 21, 1892), were born in a tent-home in Globe where Mary hid the children under the bed when Indians came around. In 1895 the Langes and the Larremores moved to Yeager Canyon. Two more girls arrived: Mary Ellen Johnston on June 12, 1895 and Clara on January 25, 1898. Sons Walter Rudolph (August 8, 1899) and John Houston (July 7, 1902) were born in Prescott.
     In February 1905 Mr. Lange acquired the ML Ranch near Sanders Station. Hazel Frances (June 8, 1905) who died in infancy and Charles Addison (February 20, 1908) were added to the family. This ranch was sold in 1909, after which the P Bar Ranch south of Groom Creek was bought and sold.
     The Langes went back to Texas. On their return to Arizona in 1910, the GJ Ranch on the Verde River near Paulden was purchased, and in 1913 they repurchased the P Bar. Mary's last two children, Iola Alice Pike (September 26, 1910) and Robert Elmer, arrived in Prescott. Mary moved into Prescott for the school terms, and at various times she and the children lived in rented homes on Marina, Virginia, Sheldon, and Pleasant Streets. In 1928 they bought a house at 140 N. Mt. Vernon.
     According to her granddaughter, Mona, Mary indulged in dipping a little snuff, a habit which began with being given snuff to deaden a toothache when she was 12 or 14 years old.
     A pioneer ranch wife, Mary was active in community affairs and her sons rodeoed during Frontier Days. Her sister May Wilson is also represented in the Rose Garden.
     Mary Elizabeth Larremore died on January 18, 1954 at age 81. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott, Arizona.

14. Lebious P. Thadeous4 Larremore also went by the name of Lieb - (Leb).
     Lebious P. Thadeous Larremore was born on January 17, 1849 in Williamson County, Texas, son of John Larremore and Amanda Elizabeth Conway.
     At age 20, Lebious married Sarah Jane Milne, daughter of John Milne and Mary Snow. Lebious and Sarah were married on Wednesday June 9, 1869 in Texas. Lebious is the brother to Sarah's mother's, Mary Snow, second husband; but there is no blood relation between Sarah and Lebious.
     Sarah came to Arizona in a wagon train in 1888 with her husband, Lebious Thaddeous Larremore. The Larremores settled in Globe and later in Humboldt. They had nine children, two of whom are also represented in the Rose Garden (May Larremore Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Larremore Lange). Two of their grandchildren (Sara Agens Lange Eckert and Mary Ellen Lange Johnston) are represented in the Rose Garden as well.
     Lebious P. Thadeous Larremore died on October 15, 1919 in Humbolt, Yavapai County, Arizona, at age 70.

     Sarah Jane Milne was born on November 18, 1856 in Burnet, Burnet County, Texas, daughter of John Milne and Mary Snow.
     At age 12, Sarah married Lebious P. Thadeous Larremore, son of John Larremore and Amanda Elizabeth Conway. Lebious and Sarah were married on Wednesday June 9, 1869 in Texas. Lebious is the brother to Sarah's mother's, Mary Snow, second husband; but there is no blood relation between Sarah and Lebious.
     Sarah came to Arizona in a wagon train in 1888 with her husband, Lebious Thaddeous Larremore. The Larremores settled in Globe and later in Humboldt. They had nine children, two of whom are also represented in the Rose Garden (May Larremore Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Larremore Lange). On the 1900 census Sarah J. Larremore states that she has been married 19 years and that she has had eight children and that seven are living.

28. John5 Larremore.
     John Larremore was born on September 5, 1813 in Green County, Kentucky, son of Rev. James Larremore and Patsy Benningfield.
     John married Amanda Elizabeth Conway. John and Amanda were married circa 1838.
     John Larremore appeared on the census of 1850 in Page 2085, #58, Williams County, Texas. It shows:

     John Larremore appeared again on the census of 1860 in Page 10, Line 1, Llano County, Texas. It shows:

You may notice, in the 10 years between census, everyone did not seem to age 10 years.
     John Larremore appeared on the Tax List between 1855 and 1863. Larremore, John--in 1855, appears for the first time on the Burnet County tax assessment roll with 153 acres of a Preemption land grant (under Preemption Act of 1853) on Walnut Creek, valued at $150; also, 120 cattle, $720; 1 wagon, oxen and hogs, $166. His total property value in 1855 was $1036. Part of the John Larremore land grant lies within the northern limits of present Blanco County.
     In 1857, John Larremore appears again on the Burnet County tax assessment roll with 153 acres of the John Larremore Preemption grant valued at $1500 and 177 acres of the Peter J. Duncan grant, $177, both on waters of Walnut Creek; also, 42 acres of the Elias Jones land grant on Pecan Creek, $210. Other property included 7 horses, $350; 80 cattle, $400; 3 yoke of oxen, $120. His total property value was $2757.
     In 1858, John Larremore appears on the Burnet County tax assessment roll, with 153 acres of the John Larremore land grant on Walnut Creek, valued at $l500; 127 acres of the Peter J. Dunkin (Duncan) land grant on Walnut Creek, $127 and 42 acres of the Elias Jones land grant (out of 320 acres), on Pecan Creek, $210. As noted previously, part of the John Larremore land grant is within the present limits of Blanco County. Also, the Peter J. Duncan land grant is located in present Blanco County. The E. Jones land grant on Pecan Creek, is located within the southern limits of present Llano County. Other property of John Larremore in 1858 consisted of 8 horses valued at $280; 80 cattle, $400 and one yoke of oxen, $40. His total property value was $2557.
     He appears on the Llano County tax assessment roll for 1859 with the following amounts of property: 153 acres of the John Larremore land grant valued at $765; 127 acres of the P.J. Duncan land grant, $127; 33 1/5 acres of the Elias Jones land grant, $166; 5 horses, $260; 110 cattle,$660; 2 yoke of oxen and 150 hogs, $250. His total property value was $2228. A poll tax of fifty cents was paid. The first two land grants of John Larremore listed above are readily located in northern Blanco County, the P.J. Duncan tract being completely in Blanco County and John Larremore land grant being partly in Blanco and Llano Counties.
     He appears on the Blanco County tax assessment roll in 1859 with the following amounts of land; 36 acres of the Elias Jones land grant; 153 1/2 acres of the J. Larimore (Larremore) grant; 127 acres of the P.J. Duncan land grant.
     In 1860 and 1861, John Larremore does not appear on the Blanco County tax assessment roll.
     In 1862, he appears on the Blanco County tax assessment roll with 36 acres of the Elias Jones land grant (Abstract No. 215), valued at $180; 153 1/2 acres of the J. Larremore land grant, $1200; 127 acres of the P.J. Duncan land grant, $127; 3 horses, $200; 200 cattle, $1200; 60 sheep, $180; miscellaneous property, $210. His total property value was $3297 and he paid a poll tax of one dollar.
     In 1863, his name does not appear on the Blanco County tax assessment roll.

     John Larremore died on December 31, 1895 in Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, at age 82. He was buried in McDonald Cemetery, near Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico.

29. Amanda Elizabeth5 Conway.
     Amanda Elizabeth Conway was born circa 1817 in Arkansas.
     Amanda married John Larremore, son of Rev. James Larremore and Patsy Benningfield. John and Amanda were married circa 1838.
     Amanda Elizabeth Conway died on November 17, 1905 in Eddy County, New Mexico. She was buried in McDonald Cemetery, Eddy County, New Mexico.

30. John5 Milne was also known as Harvey. His name may also be Henry.
     John married Mary Snow, daughter of Abner Hammett Snow and Elizabeth Mize. John and Mary were married on Wednesday February 27, 1856 in Burnet County, Texas.
     John Milne died before 1868.

31. Mary5 Snow.
     Mary Snow was born on October 11, 1832 in Barren County, Kentucky, daughter of Abner Hammett Snow and Elizabeth Mize.
     At age 23, Mary married John Milne. John and Mary were married on Wednesday February 27, 1856 in Burnet County, Texas.
     At age 35, Mary married Samuel Houston Larremore, son of John Larremore and Amanda Elizabeth Conway. Samuel and Mary were married on Thursday October 8, 1868 in Gillespie County, Texas. The Marriage record indicates both Sam and Mary Snow Milne were living in Kerr County in 1868.
     Mary Snow died in February, 1888 in Eddy County, New Mexico, at age 55. She was buried in Elk Cemetery, Chaves County, New Mexico.

56. Rev. James6 Larremore was also known as Larimore.
     Rev. James Larremore was born in 1776 in Rockingham, North Carolina, son of Phillip Larimore and Mary A. Garrett. He lived in Green County, Kentucky.
     Rev. James Larremore appeared on the census of December, 1810 in Page 264, Green County, Kentucky; It shows:

     James married Patsy Benningfield, daughter of Thomas Benningfield and Patsy _____. James and Patsy were married on Thursday February 28, 1811 in Green County, Kentucky.
     Rev. James Larremore purchased a farm on the Trace Fork of Pitman Creek. The deed is signed by James Larimore between 1816 and 1817 in Green County, Kentucky. The 1817 Tax List, page 25 for Green County, Kentucky, shows "James Larimore. White Male above 21, 1. Blacks above 16, 2, Total Blacks 4. Horses-Mares-Mules 2. Land Value per acre, 10.00. Total acres 104. Total value, 2,200. Water Course: Trace."
     Allen's History of Kentucky relates that James Larimore was one of the early Baptist Ministers of Green County, Kentucky and migrated to Arkansas about 1820 where he lived and died.
     Rev. James Larremore died circa 1853 in Crawford County, Arkansas.

57. Patsy6 Benningfield was also known as Martha.
     Patsy Benningfield was born circa 1785 in Saint Paul's Parish, Hanover County, Virginia, daughter of Thomas Benningfield and Patsy _____. Some think she may have been born in England instead.
     Patsy married Rev. James Larremore, son of Phillip Larimore and Mary A. Garrett. James and Patsy were married on Thursday February 28, 1811 in Green County, Kentucky.
     The census of 1810 in Green County, Kentucky, suggests that James Larimore was a widower with several children before his marriage to Patsy. It shows that James was between the age of 26 and 45, with several small children. However, there wasn't a woman in the household old enough to be his wife. His union with Patsy added another 6 children to this family.
     Patsy Benningfield died in Arkansas. She was buried in Arkansas.

62. Abner Hammett6 Snow.
     Abner Hammett Snow was born on July 13, 1798 in East Montepelier, Vermont, son of Jonathan Snow and Lydia Hammett.
     At age 26, Abner married Elizabeth Mize. Abner and Elizabeth were married on Friday November 5, 1824 in Barren County, Kentucky.
     Abner Hammett Snow died after 1860 in Burnet County, Texas.

63. Elizabeth6 Mize.
     Elizabeth Mize was born on October 20, 1807 in Georgia.
     At age 17, Elizabeth married Abner Hammett Snow, son of Jonathan Snow and Lydia Hammett. Abner and Elizabeth were married on Friday November 5, 1824 in Barren County, Kentucky.
     Elizabeth Mize died circa 1849 in Barren County, Kentucky.

112. Phillip7 Larimore was also known as Larremore. He was also known as Philemon.
     Phillip Larimore was born circa 1736 in Maryland or Ireland.
     Phillip Larimore married Mary A. Garrett. Phillip and Mary were married circa 1756.
     Phillip Larimore appeared on the census of 1790 in Salisbury District, Page 169, Rockingham County, North Carolina; It reads:

2 free white males of 16 years and upward, including head of families
1 free white male under 16 years

He appeared again on the census of 1800 in Salisbury District, Page 450, Rockingham County, North Carolina; This could be the Sr. because we do not know when the census was taken. It could have been taken before his death, but if taken after his death then this is his son, Phillip Larremore, Jr.

     Phillip Larimore died between July, 1800 and March, 1801 in North Carolina.
     Phillip Larimore left a will on March 18, 1800 in Rockingham County, North Carolina; Phillip Larremore of Rockingham, North Carolina in his will probated in 1800 names his children: James Larremore, Philip Larremore, Mary Strader, wife of Lewis Strader, Memory Ward, wife of John Ward, Cathy Milby, wife of John Milby.
Will for PHILLIP LARRIMORE, dated March 18th, 1800 of Rockingham County, North Carolina.
     In the name of God, Amen. I, Phillip Learemore, being in a low state of health but of a sound mind and perfect understanding cosidering that it was appointed for all men one to die, and after commanding my body to the ground and my soul to God who fair it I make and constitute this to be my last will and testement and my desire is in the first place for all my just debts to be paid out of my estate and after them is paid all that remains I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Larremore during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided amongst my six children except my land which I will give to my son, James Laremore and my desire for Judith Harrison for to have one bed and furniture if she lives with my wife till her death, and then that remains to equally divided amongst my children as follows; Memory Ward, Richard Laremore, Mary Strader, Caty Milby, Phillip Laremore, James Laremore, and I chose my wife Mary Laremore and Phillip Laremore for my executors.

     Mary A. Garrett was born circa 1740.
     Mary A. Garrett married Phillip Larimore. Phillip and Mary were married circa 1756.
     Mary A. Garrett died after 1800.

114. Thomas7 Benningfield.
     Thomas Benningfield was the father of Patsy Benningfield of Hanover County, Virginia.

115. Patsy7 _____.
     In circa 1780 Patsy married Henry Benningfield.

124. Jonathan7 Snow.
     Jonathan Snow was born on July 12, 1768 in Dorchester, Massachusetts, son of Mark Snow and Hannah Sears.
     At age 21, Jonathan married Lydia Hammett. Jonathan and Lydia were married on Thursday February 11, 1790 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
     Jonathan Snow died on March 31, 1846 in Montpelier, Vermont, at age 77.

125. Lydia7 Hammett.
     Lydia Hammett was born on August 17, 1771 in Long Plain, Massachusetts.
     At age 18, Lydia married Jonathan Snow, son of Mark Snow and Hannah Sears. Jonathan and Lydia were married on Thursday February 11, 1790 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
     Lydia Hammett died on March 31, 1842 in Montpelier, Vermont, at age 70.

     Mark Snow was born on August 6, 1731, son of Jonathan Snow and Thankful Freeman.
     At age 21, Mark married Hannah Sears. Mark and Hannah were married on Sunday October 1, 1752. Mark and Hannah had 8 children:

     Hannah Sears was born on August 6, 1731 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
     At age 21, Hannah married Mark Snow, son of Jonathan Snow and Thankful Freeman. Mark and Hannah were married on Sunday October 1, 1752.
     Hannah Sears died in 1768.

     Jonathan Snow was born in 1690/91 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, son of Nicholas Snow and Lydia Shaw.
     Jonathan married Thankful Freeman. Jonathan and Thankful were married on Sunday October 16, 1718 in First Congregational Church, Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. They had 8 children:

     Nicholas Snow was born on December 6, 1663 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, son of Mark Snow and Jane Prence.
     At age 25, Nicholas married Lydia Shaw. Nicholas and Lydia were married on Monday April 4, 1689.
     Nicholas Snow died in 1754 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.

993. Lydia10 Shaw.
     Lydia Shaw was born in 1670 in North Carver, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts.
     Lydia married Nicholas Snow, son of Mark Snow and Jane Prence. Nicholas and Lydia were married on Monday April 4, 1689.
     Lydia Shaw died after June, 1716.

1984. Mark11 Snow.
     Mark Snow was born on May 9, 1628 in Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts, son of Nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins.
     At age 26, Mark married Anna Cooke. Mark and Anna were married on Friday January 15, 1655.
     At age 31, Mark married Jane Prence. Mark and Jane were married on Friday January 9, 1660.
     Mark Snow died on January 9, 1694 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, at age 65.

1985. Jane11 Prence.
     Jane Prence Thomas Prence, of All Saints, Barking, London, sailed on the Fortune which left about August and arrived at Cape Cod 11/9/1621. All 32 (35) passengers settled at Plymouth.
     Jane Prence was born on November 1, 1637 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Thomas Prence and Mary Collier.
     At age 22, Jane married Mark Snow, son of Nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins. Mark and Jane were married on Friday January 9, 1660.
     Jane Prence died in June, 1712 at age 74.

3968. Nicholas12 Snow.
     Nicholas Snow was born circa January 25, 1599 in England. He was christened on Jan 25, 1599 in London, England.
     Nicholas Snow arrived in Plymouth on the Anne in 1623. He held various minor positions in Plymouth, such as highway surveyor.
     Nicholas married Constance Hopkins, daughter of Stephen Hopkins and Mary _____. Nicholas and Constance were married on Saturday May 22, 1627 in Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts. The Snows moved from Plymouth to Nauset, on Cape Cod in the 1640s. On the Cape, Nicholas served as surveyor, constable and selectman.
     Nicholas Snow died on November 15, 1676 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.
     There are reputedly 12 children by Constance Hopkins; however, only five sons are named in the last will and testament of Nicolas Snow.
     The inventory of Nicholas' estate, taken at the time of his death, includes carpenter tools. This may have been his trade. His inventory also included books, so he was probably literate.

3969. Constance12 Hopkins.
     Constance Hopkins Constance Hopkins was a Mayflower passenger. She journeyed with her father and stepmother, Stephen and Elizabeth Hopkins, her brother Giles, her half-sister Damaris and her half-brother Oceanus who was born during the voyage.
     Constance Hopkins was born in 1605 in England, daughter of Stephen Hopkins and Mary _____.
     Constance married Nicholas Snow. Nicholas and Constance were married on Saturday May 22, 1627 in Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts.
     Constance Hopkins died on October 25, 1677 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. She was buried in Cape Cod, Eastham County, Massachusetts.

     Stephen Hopkins was born in England. Stephen Hopkins married Mary _____ She was his First Wife.
     Stephen married Elizabeth _____.

7939. Mary13 _____. Mary _____ married Stephen Hopkins She was his First Wife.
     Mary _____ died in May, 1613 in England. She was buried on May 9, 1613 in Hursley, Hampshire, England.
